Fall 2020: Ruby Mountains

A few years ago, I was hiking in the Sierras and met a man from Nevada. When I asked about the Ruby Mountains, he quickly dismissed them by saying, “They’re not the Sierra’s.” This year, it became convenient for me to visit them, and I was very favorably impressed. I would even say that the the Rubies are a gem. Highly recommended.

Lamoille Canyon is easily reached by car, but for me it was a long hike. It’s pretty impressive, IMHO.

Red seemed to be the predominant color here. It’s not common in nature, so I enjoyed it.
