Spring 2019: Mojave National Preserve

Mojave National Preserve lies nearby to the south of Death Valley National Park.  While similar in some ways to Death Valley, it has plenty of its own distinctives.

The entrance to a lava tube. This tube is disappointingly short, but it’s still a curiosity.

This lava tube sure doesn’t go very far. I wonder if it was much longer in the past.
